Computer Lab

In September of 2007 , Boys and Girls Town of La Paz got a big present, but we have no idea who it is from.

Our generous but anonymous donor sent us 16 brand new computers with all the trimmings! They've been installed in a well-lit, air-conditioned room. Chairs and tables are ready and waiting, and the children are anxious to start learning.

There's just one problem. We have no one to teach them, and no one to maintain the computers.

In this modern age, knowing how to work on a computer is almost mandatory in order to get a good job and have a productive life. It is sad to see these beautiful but lonely computers just waiting for eager young fingers to explore their mysteries.

We would like to find a couple of voluteers, perhaps from one of the local universities to get us started. But we know that eventually we will have to hire a teacher and/or maintenance person. We hope that some of our benefactors will help us fund a teacher so that our children can learn skills to help them make their way in the world.
