| News June 1, 2008 - Boys and Girls Town of La Paz launches new Web site - www.lapazchildrenshome.org is a new effort to raise awareness about our organization and to help build a better bond between the Children's Home and the people of La Paz. The site will have information and regular updates and offer new ways to help support the children and the organization. June, 2008 - Boys and Girls Town plans Auction Gala - We are in the beginning stages of planning a great fundraising event for the children's home. We are looking at a date in November of this year. This should be an exciting event, with great food, music and a live auction of some terrific items. Friday May 23, 2008 - We've just had great news. Oxxo stores in La Paz (similar to 711 in the States) has just announced a fund drive for us in their stores. They asked us what we could put the money toward, so we have decided to put it toward the kitchen repairs. This will give us an excellent base - perhaps up to half of what we need, with the rest coming from the 100x100 Campaign. Thank You, OXXO! |
